Changes in KaptivateMe Coaching Services
For a little background - I’ve been providing life, career and business coaching for five years now, and am so glad I made the career change after a decade in corporate communications.
It took me two years to earn my International Coaching Federation life coaching certification, so when I was just getting KaptivateMe going I leaned into existing areas of expertise — such as business and career development/personal branding coaching. It gave me the confidence and money to finish my training and develop my 3-month Life Coaching Cornerstone Program - which more than 120 individuals have since graduated.
I’ve also helped more than 60 people successfully make major career transitions — such as shifting from teacher to UX designer; SAAS project manager to artist; engineer to community engagement specialist; sales manager to museum director; construction project manager to DEI program manager; or administrative assistant to launching their own business.
And while the career transition work is rewarding, it takes a lot of hours of work on my end outside of our coaching sessions. That’s a lot more time spent on the computer and doing more “consultant-like” activities than I would like, and a lot less time available for live coaching sessions. (And no, a big chunk of the work is not trainable as it relies on my personal experiences….I have tried.)
So, I’m making some changes.
Moving forward I’ll be spending the majority of my time focused on life, professional and leadership coaching — where I have the most fun and feel like the ripple effect is the greatest. This includes developing some online courses and making more of the resources I use with my clients available digitally. Stay tuned for a “Seasonal Goal Reflection & Setting Exercise” to help prepare for a summer you’ll love.
Career transition coaching (aka complete career/professional change) will be by client referral only and I’ll cap the number of career clients I take on overall.
